I received a call from my tenant about a possible water-heater leak in the garage and water leaking into the kitchen. When I called Anytime Plumbing, my call was routed to Rite Way Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, and they sent a plumber to inspect the problem. The plumber told me there were two separate leaks: one beneath the water heater and another inside the kitchen wall. He quoted $2,800 to replace the water heater. I asked him to focus first on the leak inside the wall. After cutting open the drywall, he quoted an additional $3,500, saying the repair would require a jackhammer to access the pipe, fix the leak, and place a rough concrete patch over the opening. He said that if I paid a 50% deposit, he would perform a temporary repair that day and return on Monday to complete the permanent repair. Because the quote seemed extremely high, I offered to pay separately for the temporary repair while I obtained additional estimates for the permanent work. He refused to perform even the temporary repair without receiving 50% of the full quote and left without fixing anything. We had to keep the main water valve shut off. We then contacted another plumber, who inspected the water heater and found no problem with it. He repaired the leak inside the wall for only $300. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Rite Way Heating, Cooling & Plumbing. Their diagnosis and pricing were dramatically different from those of the plumber who ultimately resolved the issue, and I felt that I was being pressured into paying for an unnecessary water-heater replacement and a much more expensive repair.

Very great experience with Brandon. He was polite and knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He diagnosed the issue quickly on my primary unit, and also inspected my secondary unit ( which looked worse than I thought)! The service call was under $90 which is below many other firms.
